It's possible to cut and jumper the circuit board, but you'll have to dope it out yourself. If you contact Mackie Tech Support directly (try the phone) they'll e-mail you a service manual in PDF format and you can study the schematic and board layouts. As far as I know, nobody, Mackie or a user, has published this modification as a set of step-by-step instructions. |

Thanks Mike I will just sell the board and buy one that works the way I expect them to(mute cuts monitor feeds for example) It doesn't have a show on it yet and I guess I assumed rather than reserched George |

I think that the "monitor culture" has led to pre-EQ sends, but often I'll get someone on stage who says "My guitar sounds too bassy in the monitor" and there's nothing I can od about it other than change the EQ on the monitor feed - OK if he's the only one on that monitor, but I don't have the luxury or pain in the butt to work shows like that. I've just become accustomed to turning down all the channel input trims when an act goes off stage so I don't have to hear the THUMP, POP HOWL when the stage crew moves mic stands and plugs or unplugs mics. But mutes that also muted the monitors are handy. -- If you e-mail me and it bounces, use your secret decoder ring and reach me he double-m-eleven-double-zero at yahoo -- I'm really Mike Rivers ) |

But mutes that also muted the monitors are handy. Yamaha's boards mute everything at once, and send the EQd signal to the monitors. Oh, and the switches are push-ON rather than push-MUTE. Which makes a lot more sense to me. Peace, Paul |
