Default Indoor/Outdoor wireless speakers and additions

I'm trying to add speakers inside and outside that all play music from
a single computer (cd/iTunes/etc).
I need approximately 2 speakers outside (may experience moisture), and
2-3 inside, each with separate volume control.

My question is, if I have two different brands of wireless speakers
(one brand inside and one outside) and they are all 900mhz wireless,
will they be able to communicate to get the music, or does the
transmitter have to be separate?

I'm kinda confused about mixed wireless speakers, since there
currently is no bundle to suit my needs.

Thanks for your help.
