Here's a good place to start for recording in general: http://www.theprojectstudiohandbook.com/directory.htm. There's also a FAQ for this ng at: http://www.recaudiopro.net/faq/index.htm.

Welcome, Damian.

Graham already got you offing the html. Good for that.

Next hit the rec.audio.pro FAQ, available at:

http://www.rec.audiopro.net

It's a bit out of date where brand names and models are concerned, but
the basics of many questions are covered therein.

Next realize that Google's Advanced Group Search offers access to years
of posts here. It's a great resource for checking to see if your basic
question has already been asked a zillion times, and if so, what are the
range of possible answers. g

Hi Carey,

I might be just getting into recording at home, but I have been doing it
professionally for twenty years. So, I figured I'd come and have a look in
here first. But thanks for the heads up, I'll go have a snoop...I'm clawing
back my invested time already with your know how.

Cheers.

Hank,

Cheers for that. Am already getting into the FAQ...and realising how "past
my sell by date" I've become.

Kill the Rich Text / HTML please!

You appear to be using MS Outlook Express (as I do).
The only acceptable encoding is "Plan Text" for Usenet
newsgroups.

In which case the questions won't be quite as dumb as you make them out to
be. Ask away.
