How can I attach a TO3P device to the TO3 socket on my MOSFET testing
meter? Is there a way to make a fixture into which the 3 pins on the TO3P can plug and which has output pins to match a TO3 socket? The Hitachi TO3P 2SK1056/2SJ160 are mostly identical to the old TO3 2SK134/2SJ49 MOSFETs. But, how to test the newer TO3P devices using the nice TO3 test meter I have here? Thanks............... |

You'll have to improvise a jig. Have you got a defective TO-3 device ? Saw the top off the can - remove the die attach leads and wire the internal pins to a socket that fits the TO-3P Graham Thanks. I already did saw off the top of a blown out TO-3. Any suggestions on how to attach leads to it? And, where do I get a socket for the TO-3P. |
