I'm upgrading the systems on my 2001 Yukon Denali and 1998 Ford Mustang, and
I can't seem to find dash kits that will replace the now-empty spot with CD
storage compartments. I imagine someone must make these. Or is this my
imagination?

The Denali has space where the CD player was, but it has a smaller than
usual opening size.

The location on the Mustang also had a CD player, and this appears to be
standard DIN size.

Metra makes a universal din-size pocket that includes brackets for the
Mustang. It has dividers in it to hold a few CD jewel boxes.

As for the Yukon, vehicles without a CD player have a pocket in that
location. You can probably get one at at junkyard or a dealer; it just
snaps in. It's too small to hold jewel cases, though.
