If you are happy to use a screwdriver and soldering iron, you could replace
the 2 pin male chassis IEC connector with a 3 pin one. These are widely
available for about $2. I have done this on my Revox tuner - the 3 pin
connector has the same overall dimensions and fixing holes. Just leave the
E pin unconnected. Then you can use any common 3 core IEC cord.
