There's a DVD showing how Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon.
They briefly show it being used on the female background vocals.

So what exactly is it?
Can it be replicated using plug-ins?
Or is there a vocalstressor plug-in anywhere?
I am using Logic Audio 7 btw

An audio design and recording vocal stressor is from the english
company,it usually has a parametric EQ in front of one of their
infamous compex limiters.The eq is pretty cool,the compressor is
fantastic for rock/pop stuff.....You have heard this unit on lots of
recordings.
Can it be replicated using plug-ins?
No.
Or is there a vocalstressor plug-in anywhere?
