hey. now that the digi003 is out, the digi002 sells for cheap. i can afford
either one, but is the 003 really worth the extra $1400?

Well there's the 003 and 003Rack. (and 002 and 002Rack)

The big thing is the 7.3 software and MIDI mode.

The 003 does have word clock ports.

The 003 can include the $3000 package of plugins for quite a deal.
