Long and Mcquade just quoted me CAD $700 for an AKG c480b-uls w/ CK61. The
online retailers are typically USD $1000. Usually canadian prices (even with the parity dollar) are well above US prices. When I asked the guy why they were so low he didn't know. It's not like they were on clearance... they aren't stocked and have to be ordered. Should I be concerned? How can they sell them so cheap??? if you want it and were planning on buying one and can use your CC or secure other return privledge if its not what you think it is I can't see a down side. some times manufactures clear inventory for off sheet prices, I have no idea if that is happening here but I got a slew of groove tube and Audix mics at what was 1/2 of printed dealer cost ,perhaps it is a AES promotion? so keep you eyes open but every once in a while great deals come along and one should be ready to take advantage of them George |

I usually avoid comparing to UK prices because I don't understand how to approximate fees associated with being overseas.
