I just bought a used Nakamichi RX-505 and it won't eject or auto-
reverse. When I press the button, I can hear it engage and the mechanism responds, but no movement. I' removed the cover and nothing is showing to be wrong. Can anyone help? Thanks, Terry |

IIRC, there's a little rubber belt the same size as the one that pulls the head bridge up and down, that carries drive for the cassette in-out and rotation. At this age really all belts and pinch rollers need to be replaced. The hub drive idler is pretty rugged on these, so may still be good enough. All good fortune, Chris Hornbeck |
