Hey. I need to replace my Mackie 1202-VLZ PRO (i've had it for a while
and some of the inputs/outputs are slowly dying, i.e. not working). Anyways, I need this mixer for live band practice and also for recording. I've been doing some research, and came across the M-Audio NRV10. Does this mixer double as a live mixer as well as a recording mixer? I have Pro Tools LE, and was reading that the NRV10 is compatible with PT M-Powered. Does the 10 x 10 FireWire S 400 audio interface come with the mixer? If it doesn't, can someone show me a link to the product? Is it compatible with a laptop? Also, if I opened a PT LE session and recorded audio tracks would I be able to go back into the session and use the Mixer to move the faders on the computer monitors? If I'm off target with this explanation, and this mixer doesn't work with protools in the way i described above, what do you think is a better mixer? Allen & Heath, Mackie, Soundcraft, Yamaha, etc.. I have a grand to spend on the mixer.. Any comments? Thanks, -Adam |
