Default Cheapy drum room in LA?

Hi again,
I've got several little surf band projects to record over the
next few months. I can do overdubs and mixing here in my own home
studio, but there's no way to properly record drums here. I tried it
here once with Davie Allan and the Arrows but it was a disaster.
Actually, we made it work and the song went on the album, but it was
an ordeal all the way around.
Any recommendations for a small cheapo recording studio, but with
a decent sounding drum room in the Glendale/Burbank/Pasadena/Hollywood/
NoHo area? I can bring my own mics and pres, I'm mainly looking for a
decent acoustic space that's not too expensive. These guys are always
broke, so it's a bit of a labor-o-love.
Thanks, Rick Novak.
P.S. I'm Mac/ProTools based at home, so that would be easiest.
44.1K, 24bit.
