If you are "leaning towards the Dynaudio" then (IMO): go for the Dynaudio.
I have a pair of BM6a and absolutely love'em.
It's true that they are not magnetically shielded but the Dyn's have a
somewhat unusual magnet construction.
The woofer magnet is _inside_ the voice coil, not on the outside, so the
magnetic field around them is weaker than comparable (not magnetically
shielded) monitors.
Probably your CRT will be fine about a foot away.
If you do get strange color artifacts replace the CRT with a TFT.

I had mine a foot from my monitor and didn´t notice anything. More
importantly, they soundbeautiful and mixes translate perfectly (for me)

Ooooh! Must disagree. My mixes translate excellently. The high end and
mids are the nicest I´ve heard (amongst monitors that translate well)
