steve p , you are so right , to the audiophile or should i say people who
consider audiophiles it is all about the equipment, when i first got into audio i had a 18 wpc onkyo but i enjoyed the music just the same, that been about 26 years ago, over the years after i beginning dealing and selling audio i found more people didnt care about the music it was more the equipment, i had buyers who paid $1000 to run their rca interconnects thru sand , also people who spend $1000 on a pair of interconnects,i actually have quit dealing in ultra high-end audio as the people i had to deal with were to put it mildy -weird , yes i can hear the difference in speakers and amps etc but if this takes away the enjoyment of listening to music , it is not worth it, before mcintosh there was music , so i say enjoy the music forget the source-although a nasty source can ruin a good tune!!!!! |
