I need to replace my moribund CD player and am thinking of a new DVD
player to do so. But, I haven't been in this market for years and years, and have no idea what's going on. I assume my Arcam Black Box 3 D/A converter is pretty old in the tooth and has been quite surpassed. So, what can I expect from consumer grade DVD players. Do I need to do a high-end one? Or??? And, any specific recs. Here's my current system. I'd like to maintain consistent quality with it: Classe CAP 101 integrated amp Adcom GCD 600 CD player (used as a transport only) Arcam Black Box 3 D/A converter Thiel 1.5 speakers Room is about 20x12. Setup is the long way. Tastes are generally opera, predominantly, and jazz vocal. Thanks, Roy |
