I am finally going to upgrade my stereo pair of Thiel model "2 2"s to a
5.1 surround system. The Thiel center and surround speakers seem reasonable in terms of sound, size, and price. But the SW-1 subwoofer seems awfully expensive at $4800 (without the Thiel crossover, which I don't need). Does anyone who owns or has seriously auditioned the Thiel sub have an opinion on whether it's worth the money? Or perhaps recommend another powered sub which would work well with Thiels? Thanks, - Bob |
