Okay, I have had these since the 70's and have enjoyed them but am looking
to replace them now.

Any suggestions for under $1,000 a pair that will sound as good and better.
They will be used to listen to jazz, pop and classical and some surround
sound DVD's.

I have been out of the loop for so long on equipment not sure where to
begin. Unfortunately where I live there aren't any good quality hi-fi shops
anymore.
