Default Transporting / shipping an OTARI 2" open reel recorder

Hi,

Any advice on the actual mechanics of shipping an OTARI 2" recorder?
It's gonna go with the rest of my stuff in a freight container but
obviously it'd need to be crated properly. I however don't know what
"properly" means even if I let the freight company do it. Do I need to
advise them on the correct way or?? Do I remove the headstack, motors
etc.... or?? As you can see, I'm not even sure how to transport this
beast and need to know from those who have that experience.

Thanks a lot for your help.
