Default Taiyo Yuden CD Audio discs

Looking for a source for these - do they even make them any more? Or ever
did? If not, a good brand of CD Audio discs?

Here you go:

http://www.mediasupply.com/cd-r-media-taiyo-yuden.html

They still make them...mostly sold through pro audio suppliers like Media
Supply....they are considered some of the best quality disks out there. I
use them myself.

Good hunting.

I used them exclusively (obtained via a Canadian warehouse)
As far as I could judge the quality was excellent with one exception-
quite a few duds.

Yes. But he may be thinking of the ones for which the RIAA inspired tax is
paid, so that they can be used in standalone recorders.

Jeff, is that what you are thinking of? In a computer drive, a CD-R is
all that is required.

Yes, of course, that's what I'm looking for. I want to record on a system
component recorder.

I might come off looking rather ignorant, but I thought
they were the same thing. At least I've never had a
problem using CD-R for audio disks.

If you have a stand-alone consumer audio CD burner, then you need audio
(licensed) CDR's.
