I'm selling my car that has my beloved Alpine car alarm (SEC 8028). The
only problem I'm having with it is the 10 year old remote case is wearing thin and I lost the box that had the installation manual and the spare. ![]() I can get a remote off ebay but without I'm thinking its not worth the trouble to rip that one out of the old car and figure out the wiring again. Instead I'm going to get a new alarm system for the new car. I looked on Ebay and didn't see any SEC 8028s for sale. The popular choice is the Viper/Directed units at BB and CC that have that dinky 6 tone siren. I had an Exaliber LOONG ago and everyone had the same siren so I never knew if it was my car or another one going off. I'd like a no bullsh*t single tone siren preferably with muted churp. All it has to do is work the door locks and flash the lights. any recommendations Its going on a 2007 Tacoma. |
