hello,
i need to put together a headphone setup. the main goal is to listen to details in the music (to hear individual parts, effects). this would include the D/A converter, the headphone amp and the headphones. It will be interfacing with a tower computer. If I had to spend $1000 and guess at it, I'd say something like a Benchmark converter and the Shure E5's. Or skip the D/A, use the computer sound, and get a $1000 set of Grado's. This second option is probably not as good of an idea. So maybe some ideas for total pricepoints at: $200 $500 $1000 I seem to remember someone saying that Lavry now has some sort of USB. But I'm not sure if it has the headphone amp. I'll have to check that one. |
