Fourth paragraph:

``They are the market leader in the musical instruments business,''
said Joan Storms, an analyst at Wedbush Morgan Securities in Los
Angeles who rates the shares ``hold.'' ``They put mom-and-pops out of
business when they come into town.''

Quite flattering...

At the risk of playing the devil's advocate...

That analyst talks about GC steam-rollering mom-and-pop businesses as if
its a good thing, which is the cynical point of view common in the
industry.

From a CEO's point of view, the stockholders are your true "customers",
not the consumers who spend money in your retail outlets. They are just
the fuel that keep the financial furnaces burning - so to speak.

I don't support this point of view at all; however, it is my observation
that this is how large scale corporations run their operations. GC is
no different here than any other corporation - they are just looking
after their "customers".
