Default Michaelsson & Austin TVA-10 Output transformer

My TVA-10 blew the two EL34 tubes and the transformer - who can help me with
a replacement or a supplier who can renovate.

The TVA-10 is plagued with many problems, among them numerous parasitic
oscillations leading to the self destruction of the output tubes as well

as
of the output transformer *and* el cheapo 'lytic caps which get hot and
leaky faster than you can spell uncle. When the pathetic 22µ in the bias
circuit leaks, bias goes to zilch and the EL34's redplate then
self-destruct, usually taking with them the output transformer.

As the output transformer is proprietary - the amp uses cross-coupled
cathodes (not a bad idea BTW) - there are no replacements that I'm aware

of.
If the other transformer is fine, a rewind can be made by a specialist,

but
it's a very expensive option. Maybe EAR (de Paravicini's current company)
can help you here.

Anyway, changing the output transformer(s) won't change the amp's behavior

:
it will work for a few weeks or months, then the same problems will
reappear. You should have it completely overhauled by a competent
technician.

Here's a link to it's schematics:

A well placed fuse can save many heartaches.

A fuse won't replace a proper design.

Francois:
Who said replace? With a bad design, strategically placed fuses are even
more imperative.
