PBS American Masters: Atlantic Records

Sure to be very interesting. There was considerable mention of Ahmet Ertegun in the Ray Charles' Biography by Michael Lydon - great historical read and of course Jerry Wexler is very much a part of this story. Also Tom Dowd was part their early sound when he brought in an Ampex 8 track which was better suited to "stereo" sound - an emerging art in 1958. Check it out. It's on Wednesday night in my area.
