Anyone have any info on the pro's and con's of this vintage receiver? I've
read that it's sort of a collector's item and I may be purchasing one soon.I
am hoping that it is at least built in such a way that it will always be

They are big on vintage gear. I have no personal experience with the SX-1250
(being a poor kid, I only had a SX-780),
but at audiokarma, the 1250 seems to be a very highly respected piece.

If money's no object, I'd step up to the SX-1980...
