Default Rostropovich is Dead

The world is a much less musical place for
his loss.
Many have been wooed by Jacqueline du Pre, and
Yo Yo Ma has popularized the instrument.
Casals may go down as the greatest, but for me and
my solitude, none travels the abyss between reason and
passion like Rostropovich!
He will always live due to the magnificence of
audio recording.

My favorite recording is the collection with Britten as pianist.

I don't think I've heard it.
Thanks for the tip!
