Intermediate Designer - Toronto (1), Ottawa (1)




Engineering Harmonics Inc. (EH) is seeking an energetic person to join
our growing company. We are located immediately east of downtown Toronto.


Duties


We are looking for a designer with experience in Audio, Video and/or
Audio-Visual systems. You will have substantial design experience and will
have delivered projects from beginning to end, including: preparation of
drawings, specifications and supporting documentation; and review and system
testing at client sites. Your role will see you working closely with the
project manager, senior designer, and the office team.


Qualifications

a.. A demonstrated knowledge of: video projection and display
systems; AV control systems; networks; and sound systems
b.. Understanding of control programming and environments (prefer
knowledge of Crestron, AMX, Media Matrix, Visual Basic, etc.)
c.. Experience with AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, in MS XP environment
d.. Fluency in written and spoken English
e.. Business-like dress and comportment
f.. Able and willing to travel occasionally
g.. Able and willing to do construction site reviews (involving
catwalks, ladders, stairs, hardhat, construction boots, dusty conditions,
etc)
h.. Available to work extended hours when required
i.. No immigration, police or criminal record issues that would
prevent obtaining security clearance in Canada or entry into the United
States or other countries

Education

a.. Certification from a college or university, minimum three-year
technology program, B average or better, OR
b.. Equivalent work experience
c.. Training in Audio, Video and/or Audio-Visual technologies is
desirable

Work Experience

a.. Minimum of four years in technology environment
b.. Minimum of four years in an environment that required extensive
use of written communications skills preferred

Junior Designer - Toronto (1)




Engineering Harmonics Inc. (EH) is seeking an energetic person to join
our growing company. We are located immediately east of downtown Toronto.


Duties


Junior Design Technologist to support Engineers on moderate to complex
assignments associated with various projects related to sound, audio/visual
and multimedia. This position is ideally suited to someone wishing to
broaden and develop their engineering skills.


Qualifications

a.. A demonstrated active interest in and basic knowledge of: video
projection and display systems; AV control systems; networks; and sound
systems
b.. Interest and ability in control programming (prefer knowledge of
Creston, AMX, Peavey, etc.)
c.. Demonstratable experience with AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, in MS
XP environment
d.. Fluency in written and spoken English
e.. Business-like dress and comportment
f.. Able and willing to travel occasionally
g.. Able and willing to do construction site reviews (involving
