Hi all,
I have an alpine car stereo. I have installed the nve-k200 alpine ai-net switch which allows a line-in based device to connect to the head unit. The device basically interrupts the line in for the CD changer so I presume that is goes over the same circuitry in the head unit. When I connect my zen sleek photo mp3 player the sound level is too low meaning I need to amplify almost double of regular amplification (i.e. when the sound volume for normal playback would be 10 it needs to be 20 now). I also need to set the output volume of the mp3 player to max The Zen does not really have a line connector but i connect the switch using the headset output. Checking the net (and being no audio specialist) there seems to be many possible answers. 1. Impedance issues 2. amplification too low 3. amplification too high so that circuitry goes in 'safe' mode or something Anyway I sure could use some help on this Thx |
