Hi everyone,

I have amplifier Heathkit AA-50. One of 7591 tube is burn. I have to replace
it but I find the 7591A only on Triode Electronics site.

My old 7591 has 7 pins... Triode Electronics 7591A tube has 8 pins...

Some of you can expline the difference?

Jean,

Have you tried contacting Triode directly? They are helpful & responsive,
and can best answer questions concerning their products.

There are a number of 7591/A versions "out there". Some Electroharmonix are
repinned 6L6s. I think the Teslas are "real" 7591s.

The only way to know for sure what is going on inside of the tube is to
compare tube base pin diagrams. I suspect that the "extra" pin is
inconsequential and won't matter at all in your application.

The old, old, OLD, original 7591 put in Sansui amps from the '60s was
just that, a 7591. The 7591A was a 7591 that had the insides rotated
slightly to stop oscillations. You didn't say what brand name was on
your 7591. Is it a 40 year old tube or is it current manufacture?

Brand name is Westinghouse.
