I think E-MU 0404 USB 2.0 is nice~~but you can select other usb
interface~

I think the Emu 0404 usb 2.0 is nice.

but you can select other usb interface.

for example : m-audio.

I've recently bought an Alesis io|2 USB interface:

For me, it's perfect as it has
-24 bit converters
-Phantom power
-XLR connections
-A hardware / USB monitor knob (when latency's a problem)
-Input jacks have a guitar / line switch (handy as I plug an electric
guitar straight in)

all in one box with no power supply needed (even with phantom power)
