Default Proton A1 3000 blown a fuse, that's all !!!

I hope someone can help me with this, I just bought a Proton A1 3000
at a garage sale, mint condition,
the box and the receipt (1999) still with it.

Took it home but it wouldn't fire up, and remembering the first thing
to check is the fuse... that's the problem
a blown fuse ! I put a 2 amp in there and it works like a treat, paid
$20 for this little beauty !

Now I don't want to run it without the right fuse being in place, so
can anyone help me on that ? what
amp and slow blow vs fast blow ? I'd appreciate any help on this.

Thanks for your time and consideration.

Bob.
