Default Woofer Replacement Directions

I recently purchased two replacement woofers for A60 Boston Acoustic
speakers. I have never replaced woofers in a speaker cabinet before
and would like some direction as to how to proceed. I have been unable

to find any diagrams or directions to assist me.

It's quite easy. Hardest thing is figuring out the trick to getting
the grille off, depending on the model.

From there, it's generally exceedingly simple matter of unscrewing the
screws holding the speaker in, holding it by the frame to pull the
speaker out, disconnecting the two wires off the old driver, put em in
the same place o nthe new, paying attention to any polarity markings.

Some speaker terminals are solder type which will entail learning how
to solder (google how to solder, it's not rocket science), but many
speakers also have push on terminals, or spring loaded terminals that
are extremely easy and intuitive to figure out.

Screw the new driver back in, pop the grille on, and enjoy.

Good luck!

Best Regards,

Make sure there is an absolute seal between the new woofer and the
cabinet. Screw the bolts in using a 'star' pattern as recommended for
tightening lug nuts. If the woofer is not an exact fit, a gasket can be
made, or conversely the cabinet can be routed out to fit a too-large unit.

Good luck!
