Default A wonderful gift

Last night we had the final exam for our new guitar class at the college
(48 students!) One of the adult students brought me a gift. She told
me that she found it at a thrift store and thought of me. To my
delight, it was a pretty good copy of the RCA LP "Chet Atkins in
Hollywood"! Chet was my first guitar hero and the cover shows a great
picture of the guitar that I've always wanted. The recording is on HP's
list, and as I listened to a side of it last night, I understood why.
It's a fine recording. This copy sounds good as is; a few ticks are
evident, and we'll see this afternoon how it cleans up. But it's darned
good for a 40 year old recording. I'm very lucky!

That's cool! One of the pleasures of shopping for lps is the mental list
of who's looking for what.

Did you stumble over to your 'puter in the middle of your naptime?

If you ever come across it, Jenn, pick up a copy of "The Other
Chet Atkins." Standards played wonderfully on a nylon-strung guitar.

I admit the same. There is no end of things to learn about the art of
teaching.

Thanks, I do read those once in awhile and like them.

For anyone interested in teaching, I recommend "The Courage to Teach".
