My father has been having a Grand Clear-out of the loft (Wimbledon,
London) and is disposing of two reel-to-reel tape recorders in a skip collected either tomorrow or Monday. One is a 1960s Wyndsor Newton (originally very high spec.) where the main drive appears to have seized up; the other is a fabric-covered model with a sloping lid unhelpfully labelled 'Studio'. (There is also a small portable unit where the rewind works but the take-up reel doesn't seem to want to turn.) Before they are destroyed, are these any use to anyone? -- Harriet Bazley == Loyaulte me lie == You /really/ don't want to know. |
