The rumor is that the Virgin store in Hollywood will move classical back
to its own room and expand its offerings. I sure hope so. Until then,
it's basically Amoeba for L.A. shopping. Nothing beats browsing when
shopping for music, IMO.

Ironic, because whenever I go to a bricks-and-mortar record or bookstore, I
ache for Amazon.

I know what you mean - I certainly don't mind shopping via amazon etc.
but I recently "discovered" a great record store in my home town and I
*love* going there.

Part of it is physically browsing the material, but a big part is purely
social. The owner & staff in this shop (called The Turntable) are,
unsurprisingly, music lovers.

The first time I went into the store, I was there for about 2 hours
because the owner kept pulling album after album out for me to listen to
once he had an idea of the music I like. I had an absolute blast and
went a little crazy (I bought about $350 worth of vinyl, much of it new
pressings).

Every time I go back it's the same sort of experience. Well, except that
I don't drop that kind of cash down on a regular basis! But it's a great
way to spend a rainy Saturday afternoon, and they've always got time to
talk & listen to music.

Apparently, Arny desires a libidinous relationship with

Other sources define it as "to invest with mental or emotional energy" and
"to invest emotion or feeling in (an idea, object, or another person)".

The same sources give us other useful definitions:

cyborg (n)

a human who has certain physiological processes aided or
controlled by mechanical or electronic devices

a human being whose body has been taken over in whole or
in part by electromechanical devices

Apparently, Arny desires a libidinous relationship with an Amazon.

Arnii is both a sadist and a masochist. That's the main reason he got his

There are so many.... First, you failed to do away with yourself. Second,
you still mistake Jenn for the dominatrix you need. Third, you've completely
missed three or four anti-Krooger conspiracies in the last six months alone.
Fourth, you misspelled "ABX" on your ****ty site. Fifth, you dropped a
computer on your foot and did not see a doctor.

Mostly, though, your biggest error is believing the rest of us see you the
way you see yourself. Very, very sad, Arnii.

Two errors, technically.

You erred when you claimed that what Jenn wrote was "ironic". Also,
your attempt to explain why it was ironic ("because whenever I go...")
made no sense - you having a different opinion has no bearing on
whether her statement was ironic or not.

For there to be an error, ironic would have to be the opposite of "a
difference in style".

Incorrect. That's yet another failure of logic on your part.

Also, your attempt to explain why it was
ironic ("because whenever I go...") made no sense - you
having a different opinion has no bearing on whether her
statement was ironic or not.

Sure it does.

For there to be an error, ironic would have to be the
opposite of "a difference in style".

Incorrect.

Assertion without proof or even an attempt at a lucid explanation. You
might try to start out with the definitinons of irony, and systematically
show how they are contradicted by what I said.

That's yet another failure of logic on your part.

So far I haven't seen any use of logic on your part at all, in this matter.

Making unbased assertions is not logical proof.

Prove it!™

Seriously, obsolete sound cards have no value. If he has any high-end ones
that are less than 2 years old, those might be worth 10% of original price.

And for the third time: What does "a scris" mean? Are you speaking
Esperanto?

He actually does quite well at it. Too bad he has to deal with people
that know how to think. Poor little guy doesn't even know how stupid he
comes off.

It's not only the refusal to recognize that an argument is in disproven
and in tatters that makes toopid so much like Arns. It's also the
'proof by assertion' aspect, as well as several other logical flaws in
his 'thinking.'

Now he's going into the 'refusal to acknowledge' phase, just like Arns
does. toopid got shattered the LA Times thread, the Dems/employers
thread, and virtually every other OT thread that he's started. But he's
too big of a buffoon to see it. So now, like a toddler, he'll just
pretend that the counters to his arguments do not exist and decalre
'victory.'

When you live in a little cubicle and when you are totally blind in one
eye, like toopid is, that may even work (within the confines of your
cubicle).

I liked this one best, from the LA times thread:

Me:
What do you think of this?
http://www.notinourname.net/download...iner-truth.pdf

toopid:
Not much...its long.

In toopid's 'mind' he's probably comparing his taking 3-5 minutes to
read the link (which shows how the very same media that he asserts is
being manipulated by insurgent plants has been manipulated by his right
wing neocons and the military) to my refusal to watch his hour-long
Murtha video.

What a moron.

LOL!

Don't let the fact that I find you less than boring

I'd actually prefer a reasonable and civil exchange of differing

'Reasonable and civil exchange of differing points of view.'

LOL!

Your 'logic' (or random assertion) was torn apart, your sources or
citations did not prove your assertion, and you further could not read
nor apparently understand the proof that I provided that our own
military and government are guilty of exactly what you accuse the LAT
of aiding and abetting.

When I pointed that out, I 'wasn't supporting the troops' or I 'took
the word of a Muslim (gasp!) over the military,' when I had, in fact,
done no such thing.

Typical for an 'argument' or 'discussion' with you. I even made a post
which tried to help you look less stupid. How mean of me!

Blind in one eye and dumb. That's one powerful combination, toopid.

LOL!
