Default Important follow-up questions for Mr. Krooger

Arnii, you've got everybody wondering what you mean when you say "insult
noted". Specifically, we don't grasp your notion that statements of fact
can be "insults" to you. Nor do we follow your thinking when you label
people's opinions about your posts as "insults".

The rest of us would benefit if you would establish some guidelines as to
what constitutes an "insult" for you. So herewith are a selection of
seemingly innocuous statements. Please tell us which of them are
"insults", and if they are, in what way.

1. A group of individuals who live near Detroit meet occasionally to talk
about DAWs and rag on certain consumer-oriented "ragazines".

2. Nobody has ever provided scientific evidence that the "ABX" switching
device is a reliable tool for consumers in evaluating audio equipment.

3. One individual's statement of preference is a lie if another individual
has a different preference.

4. All audiophiles are wannabe audio engineers.

5. It's a universal truth that spending too much on hardware, be it
electronics or accessories, makes one a co-conspirator in the vast
snake-oil conspiracy that masquerades as the "high-end audio" industry.

6. Proponents of DBTs for consumers are not envious of others' wealth;
rather, they are seekers of "truth" who are not afraid to disregard social
and legal taboos in order to get their message out.

7. Characterizing a Usenet poster as a "little girl" is not insulting, but
characterizing another poster's claims as contrary to scientific evidence
is a gross personal attack.

8. Nobody is responsible for his or her own behavior if other members of a
group exhibit similar behavior.

9. Determining whether somebody's post contains a lie is an entirely
subjective matter.

10. The price of audio equipment does not necessarily correlate with
quality, but cheaper is always better.
