ive got an inbuilt sound card on my pc, with a gameport, i tried to
connect a kawai k1 synth as a midi controller, its set up on channel 1
transmit etc...

i have the mpu-401 device appearing on instruments and sequencers as an
option for midi input, however im not receiving any signal, ive double
checked all cabling, midi in to out etc.

im using a standard gameport to midi cable.

i just borrowed a sound card (sblive) from a friend, and im not
receiving any signal through that cards gameport either.

anyone got any clues as to things i could try.
