How would I do a dual-boot (two installs of XP Pro) on my laptop? Is
this possible? One problem is that I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop that came with Dell's install CDs for XP and apps rather than a traditional XP install CD. I want to have a second install of XP so I can turn off all services / resources I don't absolutely need, to enhance performance and keep things clean. Would also be easier to image and backup. Any good guides on how to do this? What are the basic steps? And can it be done with the assistance of freeware / open source tools? (e.g. for partitioning, drive imaging, etc). Thanks very much. |
