Default Tape lifter questions ....

Hi,

I often wonder why tape lifters are not made to rotate, especially on
higher end machines. This would surely prevent wear and future worries
over replacement or the dreaded turning them around. Does anyone know
of or has used some type of a preventative measure such as inserts (of
some type) over the tape lifters to prevent wear ? If you had a task to
make or find one, how would you go about it, the simpliest way possible
?

Thanks.

Daniel
