Hi. I am going to have a go at having my own Audio Computer built. This
is the spec I am thinking of: Asus Asus P5W DH, but it has a lot of facilities I might not use/need. OR Asus P5B-E (which is cheaper) OR the P5W DH Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 or 6600 if I can afford it 2 x Samsung Spinpoint P120 Hard discs Min 128mb Video card 2gb memory Windows XP home My questions: Is this a good way to proceed? Does anyone have any knowledge of the 3 MOBOs I mention above. If the cheaper one will do, it might mean I can spring the extra for the 6600 chip - but not if it is too much of a compromise. I am using the Focusrite Sapphire as an audio/midi interface, so presumably I won't need an internal soundcard .......? Anything else you think I should know! Thanks |
