![]() "James" wrote I really looked for the "correct" groups to post this in, but I didn't find what looked like a suitable group which includes the word "office." Anyhow, I hope you friendly souls will not mind chiming in here, as I know that there is a wealth of knowledge around these groups. I am a small-businessman, and I do a lot of dictation. I now use a Sony micro-cassette hand held dictating machine, and it serves me well, "most" of the time. I have now seen that there are times (mostly when I am out of town) that I would like to dicate, and then be able to email the dictated audio file to my office for typing. Thus, I have a keen interest in digital recorders. Can any of you offer any recommendations as to what features I should look for, and/or what brands, or specific model numbers that you have used ? I don't need huge capacity or huge features, but I do need a small unit that is usb ready so that I can plug the machine into my pc, load the audio files, and then email them. I assume these units use some sort of compression so that the final audio files are not too large, and can be emailed. Any thoughts/comments/ experience, and recommendations would be greatly appreciated !!! Check out the Olympus DS-330. Very good audio quality. http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_se...ils.asp?id=859 Better still and faster results for your needs.
