I think they fail to present that image with their PC products. Heard a
number of times from friends in Apple support that the Soundsticks are
stinkers.

Well, what do you expect from a stack of 1.5 inch "woofers"?

I was referring to the customer support issues, build quality, etc.

And it's a stack of 1" tweeters- the woofer is in the attached sub.

Well, I'd hardly call those things proper tweeters. Concaved surface
and a surround typical of a midrange.
