![]() Can you recommend a pair of in-wall or small rear speakers to use in a 7.1?. These are the rear center pair of surrounds. These are not ideally located as they will be above windows about 80" at top. So if in-walls hopefully there is some way to aim them down towards the listening position. I mounted by bookshelves on that wall but the are esthically too big and ruin the balance of the room. My other speakers are Acoustic Research L,R&C. The two side sorrounds and JBL in-wall (2 way) with 6.5inch woofer and fixed position tweeter. Any thoughts appreciated and a way to go here. thanks! |

Any reason you are avoiding use of same for the rear speakers? Other thoughts: * small used bookshelves from earlier eras - ADC made some good sounding, very small (ie 6" x 10") speakers, EPI did something similar, AR4's, etc. * slanted baffle commercial speaker enclosures, but with transplanted high end drivers. Sound quality could be quite dicey, however. |

well...i suppose you got to my question better then I.
They would mount high on the rear wall due to windows. About 82" to top of window. The sitting position is about 5' from the wall. Im worred that I need to slant the speakers down to the listening position. With JBL HTI6, w/6.5woofer sitting flat on the wall would that be ok? It does have pointable tweeter that I could aim down.
