I just bought an M-Audio Transit
http://www.m-audio.com/index.php?do=... 07cb11070055 for my laptop and it has a TOSlink in/out. I have no idea what to do with it. I'm guessing that I can send a digital signal to a home theater receiver? My real question: should I buy a receiver with toslink if I'm just going to listen to stereo music? This little box only has a 1/8 plug for output otherwise. but, its DAC seems pretty nice. sooo... should I count on a receiver's to be any better? or should I just get a y-adapter and save some cash? also, any pointers to FAQs on digital/optical connections would be appreciated b/c i don't know much about this stuff. thanks jake |
