Thank you Max!
A Sansui is indeed what I already have, the amp that died. I never liked Yamaha though; have a Yama surround amp and it's awful for music (but pretty good for movie noise). I'm going to investigate the "tape loop" idea. It never occurred to me. Åke MaxH wrote: Try the Yamaha integrated amplifiers and receivers. Please note than you can use a tape loop to connect your equalizer, which circumvents the need for pre out/main in such as older amplifiers had. Simply connect the input of the eq to "tape out" and the output of the eq to "tape in". OR you could go the vintage route and look for a used Sansui integrated amp, or even some sort of pre/power combo. Check the used sections of local hi-fi shops, and they will likely be able to help you find a cost effective solution. Max |

![]() "Oke Fireberg" wrote I need a new amp. It must have a phono connection, and pre-out/main-in, since I'm using Bose 901 loudspeakers which have a compulsory equalizer. At least 2x70 watts. Anyone have anything to recommend? Your budget is what? |
