Default ARNY says only digital can record difficult signals

Mr Kreuger said if my gear was so great, then how come I couldn't make a
perfect record playback on cassette of his low level test signal.
The test signal is a metallic impact sound of keys recorded at a max
level -10db and filtered so that all the energy is above 10khz. He then
goes on to say that only digital can handle difficult signals. Maybe.
Maybe not.

I can however provide an analog signal which cannot be recorded by
conventional consumer CD recorders. (44.1/16)

It is recorded at (180nwb/sec) -30db and the frequency is a sine tone at
26 kHz recorded on a consumer analog recording deck.

It is as stupid a signal as the one he challanged me with and thus
proves nothing at all...

Carl

This is starting to sound like a game of 'tech trivia' but with a twist.

this sort of thing proves nothing about sound quality

Finally you agree with me.
The fact that analog tape cannot record your *test* signal does not mean it
cannot record a faithful copy of an LP. It can. The music we are talking
about is all in the analog domain.
My challange to you was to prove that you could hear the difference between
an analog LP, and analog cassette copy of an analog Lp, and an open reel
copy of an analog Lp. You claimed you could, and I claim you can't. It has
nothing to do with your key jingle sound at all.
For once in your life be honest at least with yourself.

I can't agree with this:

"Find a large tall building with roof access. Climb to the edge, spread your
arms wide and step off into the thin air. In a moment you will discover that
you actually CAN FLY like a bird, free from all the cares of earth bound
beings. You will soar with the wind! Then your small pin head will explode
as you impact the sidewalk, every bone in your body will be broken into
splinters, and various bodily fluids will run across the sidewalk and down
the storm sewer. You see, flying is one thing you can do with ease, its the
landing part where you **** up..."

You're obviously a very vain, insincere and immature person Carl. I have
nothing further to say to you, technically.
