I recently bought a Yamaha 5640 receiver along with a pair of Polkaudio RTi8
(Front Main) and a pair of Quest QB6 (Rear Surround). I am so amazed by this setup. Simply connected, the sound was already amazing, but the BASE is a little bit poor. After some try, I figure out, that I don't have a subwoofer, and the Lower frequency is directed to subwoofer output by default. So I should let the receiver know there's no subwoofer. My final config on the receiver is: Speakers: 4 Speaker (Factory defualt is 5.1) Subwoofer: No (Factory defualt is "Yes") Rear Surround: Large (Default is "Small") Low Freq out: Main Speaker (Defualt is "Subwoofer", another choice is "BOTH") Welcome to any better suggestion!
