Default Do not resuscitate?

I will preface this by apologizing for my complete ignorance when it
comes to audio equipment.

I have a Marantz PM-57 amplifier and a Marantz CD Player that I have
been using with no problems for 7 years or so. I just recently bought
a DLink DSM-120 wireless media player that lets me stream mp3's from my
computer to the amp through an RCA cable, which I plugged into the
"Aux" input on the amp. Everything was working perfectly for about 4
days, but then the amplifier started to make a clicking sound, and the
audio would cut out briefly, then it would click again a few seconds
later and the audio would come back on. This happened repeatedly. It
continues even if I unplug the DSM-120 and play music through the CD
player, which I've never had any problems with.
My question is - has the DLink device fried my amp? If so, is it
something that could be repaired easily or am I looking at buying a new
amp?
