I just bougth a gateway with a sigmatel sound card. The computer came
with 2 speakers. Not so good. MY old comp has boston acc digital 4
speakers and a subwofer. Great sound. I tried to get them to work on
the new comp with the sigmatel to no avail. bought a sound blaster
audigy 4 which I was told had digital capabilities--could only get two
speakers to work. What do I need to get those boston acc. digitals to
work or what speakers do i need or what sound card? Any Help greatly
appreciated.

Can you be more specific about the speakers? I assume your shorthand is
for Boston Acoustics, but I couldn't find a model "4" on their web
site, so maybe you mean you have four speakers, plus the subwoofer? Do
they have digital inputs? Did your old computer's sound card have
digital outputs?

How were the speakers hooked up previously? Did you hook them up to the
new computer the same way? Can you? Do you remember how they were
connected?

This isn't really the kind of gear that most of us here work with every
day, so you might do better asking in a home theater newsgroup. But
with enough information on what you're actually trying ot connect,
maybe we can figure out something.
