Default What's the Latest Greats small A/D/A

What's the best bang for the buck, small (not necessarily totally
remote) audio/computer interface? There are a ton of them and you
can't really go listen to all of them.

I want something to connect to my mac laptop. It doesn't have to be
powered by the laptop and I don't that it is a good idea to do that
any (actually no opinion there). I really only need 2 in 2 out but more
is better to an extent. I want to use my powerbook, a tascam us-2400 or
similar, cubase, and an audio interface for a semi portable recording
station.

Let the opinions fly ~

And thanks for any input

Danny Taddei
